THE REAL CHRISTIAN

To walk the faith walk, you must know who you are. You must know what Christ did for you and take hold of it. Too many Christians walk in the natural. If you walk in the way of the natural, whether you know it or not, you have no rights. You are a slave and a slave must do what he is told. Natural man is governed by his senses, not by the spirit. He cannot understand the things of God, because he does not have revelation knowledge of Him. Natural man cannot even begin to imagine, what exactly Jesus did for him on the cross.

He cannot fathom what kind of price that Jesus paid for him. He is lost and in darkness on the issue. Natural man cannot love and has no authority; he is a slave to the devil.

I Corinthians 2:14 says: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned.

Romans 8:7 says: Because the carnal mind is an enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

II Corinthians 4:4 goes on to say: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believeth not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. If you in living in the natural, or thinking with your natural mind, you are against God.

But salvation belongs to all. You do not have to cry for it, or pray for it. All you have to do is take possession of it. It is a gift, and all you have to do is accept it.

Once you accept Jesus into your heart, you must grow. To walk in the new commandment, you must lose your life for the Lord. If you do not, your flesh will always get in the way of the will of God. The new commandment is to walk in love. You must be grown Christian to walk in the kind of love Jesus had for you and I. Because as long as you are selfish, sensitive, and can be hurt, you are still a baby in Christ. But you must grow, and become more like Jesus everyday.

Ephesians 5.1-2 says: Be ye followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love, as Christ also loved us, an hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.

This is our call, to love one another. It is the new commandment, on which the entire law hangs. John 13:34-35 says this: A new commandment I give to you, that ye love on another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye love one another.

When love does not rule, motives are distorted. Our conduct is not as it should be, because we become a slave to the senses. When senses rule, our spirit is brought into bondage by earthly things. That is why we must put on the Holy Spirit. John 16:13 says: Howbeit when he, the spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you in all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.

When we get deep into the Holy Spirit, we know who we are. We do not have to pray for healing, we do not have to pray for finances or any other problem. We know He has already taken care of us. That He has already provided a way out for us. All we do is just thank Him for it. We never wonder, because we are walking by faith, in Christ Jesus our Saviour.

We need to confess what the will of God is for our lives are. What you say is powerful and you need to understand that. You will only go as far as you say you will go, in either direction. Up or down, it is your words that will take you there. It’s our words that determine our faith. You believe what you say and you’ll say what you believe. The Bible says out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. You have to guard your words and guard your heart. Jesus always confessed who he was, so should we. He is who we are striving to be like. That is why we call ourselves “Christ-ian’s”. So don’t be afraid of who you are. Be who you are in Christ Jesus today.
