 This is how you accomplish the great things God has called you to do. This is how you not only attain, but achieve the desires of your heart. It is by the law of your mind and the thoughts that you not only dwell on, but visualise to the point of reality. As Christians we are told to renew our minds in Romans 12:2. It goes on to say that by doing this, we will be transformed.  But do we actually practise this?

What most of us actually do is put ourselves in a position of hoping to see our desires come to pass. We hope to see our kids come back to God. We hope to lay hands on the sick and that they would recover. We hope to cast out demons in the name of Jesus. We hope to live the abundant life that Jesus has provided. The major problem with this though, is we will always be “hoping”, because that is what we visualise.

Understand that you are where you are, because of what you have “imagined”.  If your mind believes that life is tough, surely, your life will be tough. You will meet people and events that give you hard life. If your mind believes that money is hard-earned, money will be hard earned.

And as Christians we know that we have the mind of Christ and that greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world. We have been given the mind of the Spirit, and it is up to us to use it. Romans 8:27 shows us that Father God knows the mind of the Spirit and that the Spirit makes intersession for us, according to the will of God. Ephesians 4:23 shows us that we are to be renewed in the spirit of our mind.

What does this all mean? It means that there is a law of the mind. Your mind naturally wants to go towards hell and destruction, whether you like it or not. The Bible is very clear on this fact of what the natural mind is to God. Romans 8:7 says that the carnal mind is an enmity against God. Every morning when you wake up, your mind naturally wants to walk towards things that are totally opposite of God’s will for your life. It is your job to “renew it” and go toward the desires that God has placed deep within you.

See, what your mind actually does is present an outlook. And as Christians we are to have the outlook of our Father God in heaven. We are to see things the way He sees them. We are always to look upon the “heart” of a matter and that’s a fact. So everyday you must choose your “outlook”. It’s up to you to see things, the way God sees them. God looks at things and sees their potential, not their past. When you look at people and circumstances, you are to do the same thing. You are a people person and a problem solver. You bring the best out of every situation.

It has been proven that your mind sends out a frequency. It goes out and attracts the things that you are thinking about. It is kind of like a law of attraction. It is also very important that your mind does not distinguish between positive or negative thoughts. All your mind does is send out a signal and retrieve what you are thinking about. And the more real you visualise something, the faster it will become your reality.

This is why it says in Romans 7:23 that there is a law that is warring against the law of Paul’s mind. Why? Because the devil knows if he can get your mind, he gets your life. We see in Mark 5 where Jesus cast out the demons of legion. After the demons where cast out they said the man was “in his right mind”. The demons had taken his mind. This is what we do when are not being led by the Holy Ghost. We are allowing the devil to use our minds for his purpose! Your mind is powerful. What you think about has consequences.  Your thoughts become words. Your words become actions and your actions become your destiny. The Bible says: As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.

The mind is a very funny thing. It is so great and can do so much, yet it cannot tell reality from imagination. They tested runners and told them to shut their eyes and run a race in their mind. What they found out was amazing. What they imagined in their minds triggered the same muscles in their bodies, that they used in the actual race. The mind cannot tell the difference. What you imagine is your reality. Your reality is in the state it is in because you have thought of it that way.

You have been unfocused in your desires, so your life has taken the course of what you see, hear and feel, without you even knowing. But, that can all change today. You have been given this gift from God, so what now are you going to do with it? You have always wanted the life of your dreams. So why not here and why not know?

But, the question remains, how do you see yourself? How do you see your life? Because your thoughts are powerful! Proverbs 29:11 says that a fool utters all that is on his mind. Why? Because, death and life are in the power of the tongue! Job 23:13 shows us that when we are of one mind we cannot be turned. And James 1:8 tells us that a double minded man is unstable in all his ways and that he should expect nothing of the Lord.

Philippians 2:2-5 shows us very clearly what kind of “outlook” we are to have:

²Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

   ³Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

   ⁴Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

   ⁵Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

So where do you see yourself? Where do you see yourself in five, ten or fifteen years? Because it is only what you clearly visualise and see yourself as in your mind that you will become. And realise the very important fact that you do not have to come up with the conclusion of “how”.  You do not need to see the whole staircase to take the first step! The “how” will show itself. All you have to do is act it, see it and talk like it is the reality of your life. Because, if you do this, your mind cannot tell the difference and it will being to make this your reality.

Do whatever it takes to convince yourself of this. If you have to dress a certain way to feel rich, do it! If you have to talk a certain way, do it. Act out your dreams! Talk to your kids as though they are already saved. And most importantly, be expecting. Always expect your life to go the way you see it. Expect that no matter what, things go your way. See the vision and believe the vision. But remember, never mistake a clear view, for a short distance.
