 Bondages are a part of our society today. The majority of people are hung up on something. Whether it is smoking, coffee or something worse, they are being held captive. The good news is as a Christian, you can be free from these bondages. Because as Christians we are meant to be free, not held down or taken by something. We were not created new creatures to be slaves, but free! II Corinthians 5:17 tells us that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new. And John 8:36 states if the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

So why do we struggle as Christians, living with the same bondages we had before we came to Christ and perhaps even new ones. It is because we have left a door open for the devil at some point in our Christian walk. See, the devil cannot, I repeat cannot get in if we are walking totally by faith. It leaves no holes for him to get in, because he has no authority to do so, because of what Jesus did.

So what is so powerful that it is able to break these bondages in our lives? Tongues! Tongues are an immensely powerful tool in defeating the devil, because you are going right to the source and you are speaking spiritual words. You are letting the Holy Spirit pray out of you, and He knows what you need in your life.

It brings victory to your life by letting the Holy Spirit pray for you, because it God speaking. It will seek out His will, His purpose and bring what you need to defeat the devil. Because Jesus has already has defeated the devil, we just need our faith to grow to the point of where we can accept the promises of this aftermath.

When you know the whole truth about something, you are not going to fall for a lie. It is only when you only know part of the story that you can deceived. But tongues can burn out all that doubt and unbelief; it can get rid of all the chaff in your life. The more you pray in tongues, the more those fleshly desires will fade away. Because all tongues does is build your faith up, and makes you grow in the Lord. It is like the weight lifter, if he spends more time lifting weights, than he does stretching, eventually he will start to lose his flexibility.

This is what we have to do, no matter what! If that addiction doesn’t want to leave, you just keep praying in tongues. Just keep praying longer and stronger in tongues till it breaks! And never believe the lie that you’re not worthy! That is nothing more than a lie from the pit of hell, a deception that the devil wants you to believe. So don’t let him put it in your mouth, so that it can be spoken into existence.

Just keep on repenting, never get tired of it, and never let the devil stop you from doing it. Just repent right away, and start praying in tongues. Romans 8:26 says that the Spirit makes intersession for us, it takes care of the problem for us, and goes after what we need to break it.

So if you want victory, if you want to break those bondages and chains, grow in the spirit by making tongues a part of you. It will allow your faith to grow into a powerful machine that breaks the devil, every time!
