How can the glory of the Lord become manifest in our lives? How can we receive all the good news and promises He has given to us? It is by our faith and obedience in God that allows us to receive all the promises God has given us, and experience heaven on earth.
Many Christians have experienced God manifest Himself greatly in their lives and have had God work miracles for them. But, these same Christians still have a lack, they still have a need. They are not experiencing the total abundant life that Jesus promised in the New Testament. This begins to get many Christians upset at God. Because they know He is real, they have had Him do great things in their lives before. But now He is not meeting their need right now. This has a very destructive affect on their lives for more than one reason. First of all, their faith is wavering, and the Bible says in Romans 14 that whatever is not faith is sin.
Also when their faith is wavering, they cannot receive anything from God. James 1:6-7 shows us this fact:
6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
See, when you start questioning God, you are not in faith anymore. This is when the devil can deceive you, because you are not really sure of what you believe and who God really is.
That is why it is so important to confess the word of God over your life. It’s so important to know what your Bible says on the matter, and to be able to stand on the matter. This is what hurts so many Christians; they really have no roots in their faith. When tests and trials come they are moved by the circumstances. They start to question why God is allowing these things in their lives.
They do not realise that it is because their faith wavered at some point. Many do not realise what happened to Job was caused because he was not walking in faith. Because when the entire calamity happened Job confessed. All that has happened was something I greatly feared. You cannot have fear and be in faith, because fear is the total opposite of faith.
You must put the word of God in your heart. The Bible tells us the way to do this is by hearing and hearing the word of God Romans 10.17. It is so important to get the word in your mouth and to speak it. Because by speaking faith, it puts it into action and once faith is put into action it will then be able to manifest itself in your life.
It is when we get the word of God in our hearts and mouths that we start to become imitators of Christ. Because Jesus is the word as John 1:1 says He is. He then becomes evident in our lives. When you put more and more of God’s word in our life, you start to have more of the mind of Christ. You start to understand His ways and His plans and purposes for your life. This is how you can bring in the glory of God into your own life, which He intended us to have.
So how do you prove you have the word of God in you other than your words? By your fruit, which are your works. Are you treating others the way you should? Because we have a standard set for us. That standard came by the one Jesus Christ; He is our example and is who we should be trying to exude through us. As He was and is to us, we should be to others. This is how we can truly experience His glory by letting Him live through us, we experience the way He experienced life. The joy, love and compassion that He shared, can be shared through us to others. When we do this, God’s awesome presence and glory can be visible, even to natural eyes.
