 Mark 16:18:

 ¹⁸They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

The recovery of the sick is supposed to be part of the walk of a Bible-believing Christian. And it is as simple as the Bible says; lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. We do not have to hope or feel that this should work; all we have to do is act on the word of God. We are not to go by what we think or feel is right; we are just to act upon and obey the word of God.

In Jeremiah 1:12 God says that He will hasten His word and perform it.  Not us. Because the only thing we are capable of doing is allowing God’s power to flow through us. We cannot heal or deliver anybody, only God. But we are vessels, and as Christians we hold God’s presence in us. And we are to release this power to those in need.

To those who need healing it is as simple as the Bible says; lay hands on the sick and they shall recover, nothing more, nothing less. The people you see go by in a wheel chair’s are just a touch away from healing. People with deformities are just a touch away from healing. What will you do? Will you lay hands on them or will you just walk by?

Realize that it is your duty, as a Christian to lay hands on the sick. You are to obey the Bible to the letter. This is what it means to be a Christian! If not, you have your own view of “Christianity” and not the Bible version. God tells us the way He does things in the Bible and this is the only way he does things. You yourself cannot decide, it is up to God and God alone.

It is as John 14:15 where Jesus says, if you love me, you will keep my commands. Do you love Him? Or do love yourself more? And are ashamed of His Gospel and wonder what people might think? II John verse clearly shows that if you have you’re own doctrine and do not believe part of the Bible, you hath not God. This is very clear and does not leave room for exceptions.

So we are, as Christians to lay hands on the sick. It will profit the Church, by showing the world that the God in heaven, our Father in heaven that we believe in is real! And He cares about them and would have them in health if they would only believe that He was their healer.

We need to act upon this and realize the power that flows through our hands. As it is written in John 3:35: The Father loveth the Son and hath given all things into His Hand. That same power is in your hand, because the greater one lives on the inside of you. This is God’s way of doing it and we are to do things God’s way.

In Isaiah 55:8 God says my thoughts are not your thoughts, and my ways are not your ways. So do not do your own thing.

Lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover!
